My latest work has been very tiring but rewarding. I have been teaching on a decile 1 school of pakeha, pakeha tikanga me pakeha kaupapa me katoa nga kaiwhakako, nga pakeha.

A lot of our maori children fill up these schools in Tamaki makaurau and it is a time of crying, to see the faces of lost children. When asked at least 15 of our children did not understand what it was to have a hapu or iwi. To ask who are you , where are you from, the reply from here in Auckland was a very sad one. My work was also at the same time dealing with what the pakeha term as behavioural children , in our world of maori they are fighters, whaine toa, tane toa, our speakers to come, they are our leaders. They rebel they know that the wairua mauri of them has no whangaitanga. So i built a programme that entwines kaupapa tikanga me manakitanga.
